2015年，山东大学与芝加哥大学签署两校合作备忘录，在多个学科与领域进一步进行交流合作。2016年底，两校又在原备忘录的基础上，同意在山东大学青岛校区合作建设公共治理研究院，旨在推进山东大学与芝加哥大学在治理领域的研究合作，并开展相关学术活动。

       作为山东大学与芝加哥大学的合作结晶，山东大学公共治理研究院于2017年7月13日在山东大学青岛校区正式举行揭牌仪式。研究院致力于推动公共治理领域的重大问题和相关政策的研究，力求拓展国际研究合作，并为中国公共治理研究提供新视角。

About the Institute of Governance of Shandong University

Located on the Qingdao campus of Shandong University, the Institute of Governance was formally launched in 2017. It builds on strong foundations of international collaboration with leading research universities in the U.S. and Europe. The Institute has a significant social survey component and promotes quality research on major aspects of governance in China from a comparative and global perspective.
